The Story of AIDS Introduction: The Great Aids Debate The whole AIDS story is just not as straightforward as we have been led to believe, apparently. There are very good people who have been polarised in two camps for quite some time (25 years and counting) who utterly convinced about the truth and integrity of their point of view and equally disdainful of the 'bad science' and doubtful intergrity of the other side. Sadly, as we shall see, the debate frequently degenerates into name calling and character assassination, and even more tragically we witness this at the very highest levels of the scientific pantheon. But still, at the end of the day, there is this elusive element called "The Truth" we sincerely hope, will eventually come out, regardless of the desperate efforts of the perpetrators of "The Lie", to suppress the evidence.
